Sammy Blanchette, commonly known as Sammy B, is a local acoustic/electric guitarist and singer-songwriter based out of Ludlow, VT. Originally born and raised in Southern Connecticut, he has a career spanning two decades, and his shows blend rock, blues, jazz, reggae, and country into a jam-band style. While crediting many artists for his path so far in the entertainment industry, he cites Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bob Marley, The Allman Brothers Band, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Tom Petty, U2, Chris Stapleton, and Bill Withers, just to name a few. He studied at Western Connecticut State University, earning two Bachelor's degrees in Music Performance (Jazz Studies) and Small Business Management. He has, in passing, shared the stage with local and national performers, including jazz guitarist extraordinaire John Scofield. Blanchette moved to Vermont in 2018 and has been actively building a full-time music career while working seasonally at Okemo Mountain Resort. He embraces every show as if it's the first and the last for an authentic, organic live feel! Food will be available for purchase by Floating Bird.
