Join FreeThis interactive professional development workshop equips educators and school-based professionals with practical, research-informed strategies to effectively support students with ADHD and Executive Function challenges. Participants develop a functional understanding of Executive Function skills and how they impact attention, motivation, organization, emotional regulation, behavior, and family dynamics across developmental stages - from early childhood through high school. The focus is on translating neuroscience into classroom practice, reducing power struggles, and strengthening collaboration between school and home. Key Learning Outcomes -Recognize how ADHD presents at different developmental stages and how Executive Function skills evolve over time -Distinguish between behavior challenges and lagging skill deficits Identify what ADHD and Executive Function difficulties actually look like in the classroom -Teach and reinforce Executive Function skills, including time management, planning, task initiation, organization, goal-setting, and homework management Implement practical classroom modifications that support working memory, motivation, stress management, and test performance -Reduce power struggles and increase student engagement and intrinsic motivation -Promote emotional regulation and resilience to improve both academic and social outcomes -Strengthen communication and collaboration with families while reducing teacher burnout Eligible for 6 hours CTLE credit.
