Kalaheo Ave. crosswalks needed near beach access points. i. No parking on Kaha Street between Kihapai Street and Kaha Park. j. Lani Huli Senior Apartments Parking Policy for Residents k. Adjournment.   Transportation and Public Works Committee July 2026 Meeting Report Chair, Jade Lau 1. A committee meeting was held in-person on July 9, 2026, chaired by Jade Lau and attended by committee member Bill Hicks. 2. Announcements: a. We have a new HDOT representative to our board, Mr. Ryan Nakata. He will be attending the August 9, 2026 Kailua Neighborhood Board meeting to introduce himself and provide an update of projects. b. The Board of Water Supply will be making a presentation at the September 3, 2026 Kailua Neighborhood Board meeting to discuss their policy for property owners making damage claims. 3. Continuing Issues. a. BWS policy for handling water main break property damage claims; Mr. Nyross 334 Kailua Rd. BWS claim. We received confirmation that BWS is looking into this situation.
