Beginner Impressionist Painting Immersion (3SU26)

Join the waitlist July 20-24, 2026 1 week, Monday-Friday Taught by: Joan Nichols Learn to paint expressively with beautiful, bright colors in this Beginner Modern Impressionist class! Joan will guide you through the French Impressionists' four-step process, using acrylics instead of oil paints. Explore color mixing, the differences between transparent and opaque paint, draw charcoal, quick sketches, create under-paintings, learn to re-establish the line, and complete your piece with opaque paints. You'll transform from art newbie into mini-Monet while painting simple landscapes and lush florals! Materials Students need to purchase materials for this class. Registration Information Registration for this program starts on Monday, June 15, at 10:00 am for MAG Members, and Monday, June 22, at 10:00 am for Not-Yet-Members. Online registration ends on Saturday, July 18, at 1:30 pm. Programs with inadequate enrollment are canceled one week before the first meeting.
