About the Practices Neurographic art is an intuitive drawing practice that invites you to set an intention and let your hand move freely, creating space to release emotions and find mental clarity without focusing on a perfect result. The practice was developed by psychologist Pavel Piskarev. Sound bowls create resonant vibrations that can help quiet the mind, encourage relaxation and bring awareness to the body. In chakra-based sound healing, these vibrations correspond with the body's seven energy centers to support grounding, emotional balance, self-expression and spiritual awareness. Together, these practices create a calming, reflective experience that engages the mind, body and senses. Debbie Garrett Debbie Garrett is an artist, filmmaker, educator and Healing Touch Level 3 Practitioner whose multidisciplinary background informs her innovative approach to art and healing. Drawing on Neurographica, a method developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014, Debbie combines creative expression with energy-based practices to cultivate presence, balance and flow. Her work integrates neurographic drawing and painting with grounding and centering techniques inspired by hara alignment, a Healing Touch practice focused on harmonizing the body's core energy. Through her unique fusion of art and healing, Debbie fosters experiences that engage the right side of the brain, enhance focus, quiet mental chatter and encourage creative exploration through lines, curves and color. Malinda D. Ellis Malinda D. Ellis, CPD, BSHS, MPH is a life and wellness coach whose work supports clients in uncovering limiting patterns, releasing trauma and negative habits and aligning more fully with their highest good. Her perspective is deeply shaped by her own healing journey, including overcoming family trauma, surviving domestic abuse and navigating an ovarian cancer diagnosis at age 27. A sound bowl practitioner, meditation leader and lecturer, Ellis brings a strong foundation in sound-based healing traditions that emphasize the body's interconnected systems and energy centers. Her work draws on the physiological and energetic effects of vibration to support balance and healing on mental, emotional and physical levels. Pinellas Diaspora Arts Project, Inc.
