Fall Harvest Car Show & Japanese/American Quilt Exhibit

While enjoying the annual Fall Harvest Car Show, stop by the CACE Gallery of Fine Art to see the last day of the Japanese/American Quilt Exhibit. This exhibit features a quilt show from the Japanese American Research Center of Colorado in Denver, CO. The quilt panels on display were created by Japanese - American women or their descendants who were forced into internment camps in Colorado during the Second World War. Each panel of quilt pieces is accompanied by a story about the pattern. This exhibit allows visitors to reflect on the lives of women during a difficult time in Colorado History. The beauty of the quilt pieces, and the stories accompanying them will help us all learn more about this period.
