While making record profits, Big Oil and their allies in Congress are trying to get off the hook from paying for damages caused by their pollution by passing sweeping immunity legislation to protect their corporate interests. Let's be clear: if you make a mess, you clean it up. Maine taxpayers have been stuck paying for climate damages with no support from the corporations that caused the problem, and that isn't right.
