HAWAI'I KAI NEIGHBORHOOD BOARD NO. 1     HAWAIʻI KAI NEIGHBORHOOD BOARD NO. 1 PARKS & RECREATION AND PLANNING, ZONING & ENVIRONMENT JOINT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA - TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2026 Time and Location: 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Hawaiʻi Kai Public Library, Basement Conference Room 249 Lunalilo Home Road, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi 96825 Note: The meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. The library will be closed; attendees may use the library parking lot or park on the street. The Parks & Recreation Committee and the Planning, Zoning & Environment Committee will hold a joint meeting to discuss Wāwāmalu Beach on the Kaiwi Coast, at the eastern end of Sandy Beach. Wāwāmalu Beach is under the jurisdiction of the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The Sierra Club Oʻahu Group stewards the area through DPR's Adopt-a-Park program. Discussion topics include the spelling of Wāwāmalu Beach, a proposed designation change, and signage. 1.
