Walworth/Macedon National Night Out Unites Community for a Night of Safety, Food, and Fun Tuesday, August 4 • 6-8 p.m. • Richard Mann Elementary School Macedon, NY - The Walworth/Macedon National Night Out returns on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Richard Mann Elementary School (1366 Waterford Road, Walworth, NY 14568). Hosted by the Macedon Center Volunteer Fire Department, this free, family-friendly event invites residents of Walworth, Macedon, and surrounding communities to come together with local first responders for an evening of connection, education, and summer fun. The event features free food for families, kid-friendly activities including a bounce house, and live aerial demonstrations from the Rochester Aero Modeling Society (RAMS). It's an opportunity to meet the people behind the sirens, ask questions, and explore equipment from various public safety departments. Participating organizations include: - Lincoln Fire Department - Macedon Volunteer Center Fire Department - Palmyra Fire Department - South Macedon Fire Department - Walworth Fire Department - West Walworth Fire Department - LifeNet Air Medical - Wayne County Sheriff's Department - Town of Macedon Police Department - Town of Macedon Ambulance - Town of Macedon Department of Public Works (DPW) National Night Out is more than just a fun evening--it's about strengthening the connection between residents and the people who serve their community every day, said John Strickland, Captain with the Macedon Center Volunteer Fire Department and lead event organizer. We're proud to host an event that brings people together in a positive and engaging environment. Held annually in thousands of towns across the country, National Night Out began in 1984 to promote public safety awareness, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood solidarity. The initiative now draws participation from over 38 million neighbors across all 50 states (natw.org). Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
