He has toured the world and played in front of people such as Buddy Guy\, Jimmy Vaughn\, Eric Gales\, Samantha Fish Kingfish Ingram Now at 24 years old\, Mathias is known as one of the new young BLACK blues artists leading the charge in a next generation of blues. Signed to a new label\, Red Zero\, a label specifically designed for the generation of blues artist to have a home\, where Mathias is set to release his second studio album.

DESCRIPTION:Layla Musselwhite is a New Orleans-based singer songwriter and slide guitarist who draws on a rich musical legacy via her father\, blues legend Charlie Musselwhite. Charlie is Layla's guitar teacher\, instructing her in the deepest rhythms of the roots of the blues. Layla grew up on the road steeped in the music of the greatest artists of our time including Muddy Waters\, Howlin Wolf\, & John Lee Hooker. While her original music spans blues\, soul\, folk\, and country\, the touchstone is always the same - a deep understanding and respect for the rhythms and melodies at the heart of the blues. Layla's new all-original record is a full band family affair\, produced by Jimbo Mathus and engineered by New Orleans legend Mike Napoletano. Mike worked with Jimbo on their platinum records with the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Daniel Lanois. All songs are written by Layla Musselwhite except Baby-o\, written by Charlie Musselwhite. Charlie's harp overdubs were recorded at Jim Dickinson's Zebra Ranch in Mississippi. The album was recorded in New Orleans with support from the Threadhead Foundation and is scheduled for release in 2026. Layla performs and records as a solo artist\, in duo with Jimmy Robinson (Rolling Stone's \, "rdquo" -> Best of Fest" 2018)\, and with her full band of New Orleans heavyweights. Layla has shared festival stages with Pearl Jam\, Lou Reed\, Rage Against the Machine\, Ani DiFranco\, Taj Mahal\, Elvin Bishop\, Cyndi Lauper\, and too many to name of the greatest blues artists of our era\, as well as numerous performances and collaborations with her father Charlie. Bonerama has established a national following over 28 years for their New Orleans based brass heavy sounds including stunning covers of classic rock material (Led Zeppelin\, Black Sabbath\, etc) to New Orleans RnB classics and funkified originals. Currently comprised of Mark Mullins (founding member\, trombone\, electric trombone and vocals)\, Greg Hicks (trombone and vocals)\, Chris Butcher (trombone)\, Michael Mullins (bass trombone and vocals) Bert Cotton (guitar)\, Matt Perrine (sousaphone) and Eric Bolivar (drums)\, Bonerama has expanded the boundaries of what a New Orleans band can be. Their brand new release So Much Love (2026) features a who's who of New Orleans music today with special guests Trombone Shorty\, Ivan Neville\, Cyril Neville\, Stanton Moore\, Johnny Sansone\, River Eckert and many more contributing their sound to this widely acclaimed new Bonerama album. Bonerama's previous full-length album Bonerama Plays Zeppelin (Basin Street Records)\, was one of the best-selling albums at Jazz Fest in 2019. Also in 2019 the band released a special single \, "rdquo" -> Empty World" as a tribute to the late Allen Toussaint and features legend Michael McDonald on lead vocals. For nearly three decades Bonerama has become one of the most genuine\, unique and interesting bands ever to come from the Crescent City incorporating brass\, funk\, rock and more into it's one of a kind sound you have to hear to believe.
