DESCRIPTION:Llama Llama Live! is a high-energy musical adaptation of Anna Dewdney's beloved children's book. The show follows Baby Llama's dramatic\, imaginative bedtime routine\, including songs with his toys\, Fuzzy\, Dino and Robot\, as he frets while waiting for Mama Llama to bring his red pajamas! Mama\, hearing the commotion\, comes upstairs with Llama's pajamas in the laundry basket to ask about his day\, his very first day at school\, and put him to bed! But when she goes downstairs to do the million things that busy mothers must do at the end of the day\, Llama is too wiggly to fall asleep. He howls for Mama to come back up\, but she doesn't arrive. Will she ever return? And when Mama finally swoops back in Llama\, and the audience discover that even the biggest bedtime dramas end with love\, laughter\, and a cozy goodnight! DESCRIPTION:The entire history of music is filled with passing on what we love to the next generation-putting great music into the hands of tomorrow's music makers\, and letting them make it their own. After the overwhelming success of our inaugural year\, we're excited for this one-of-a-kind national competition to continue to grow. Four outstanding undergraduate conducting students from across the country will be given the opportunity to showcase their talent with the world-class Symphony of the Americas\, performing a program of American classical and popular works for string orchestra. After a competitive application process\, a panel of three guest judges-along with the audience\, who will serve as the fourth judge-will help select the winner\, who will receive a cash prize and a paid opportunity to perform in the following season\, mentored by Maestro Luke. The evening also includes Vladimir Issaev's dynamic Taiko Mix\, inspired by traditional Japanese drumming\, and El Encuentro\, a vibrant ballet celebrating the spirit of Latin America. Blending timeless classics with contemporary works\, this unforgettable gala is a fitting finale to three decades of artistic excellence\, innovation\, and inspiration.
