Speaking of collaborators\, the combined pedigree of the band is truly legendary in the annals of underground music. Members of Mariachi El Bronx\, Mad Caddies\, Smoke & Mirrors Sound Systes\, and folks who have played alongside greats such as Jimmy Cliff\, Symarip\, Roddy Radiation and even Tom Petty!TXE FITTxe Fit is a Santa Cruz-based Oi! band. The band came together in December 2022 when former Custom Fit members Micky\, Mal\, Collin\, and Sabi reunited for a friends birthday celebration\, with Matty on drums. What was originally intended as a one-off performance quickly turned into something more\, and the band later became Txe Fit. In 2025\, the band returned to the studio to record several previously unreleased Custom Fit songs along with two brand-new tracks. Those recordings became Scars & Stories\, combining unreleased material from the Custom Fit years with new Txe Fit songs. The album will be released through Longshot Music and Try and Stop Me Records. Txe Fit writes songs about working-class life\, inequality\, and social and political issues\, drawing influence from bands such as Camera Silens\, X-Ray Spex\, Buzzcocks\, Blitz\, and others.

Ringing boldly and unobscured\, it's the sound of a woman running into her life and art head-on\, unambiguously\, and on her own terms for the first time. Last year\, Williamson and Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee released I Walked With You A Ways under the name Plains\; a critically acclaimed record filled to the whiskey-barreled brim with feminine confidence\, camaraderie\, and straight-up country bangers and ballads. After past records Cosmic Wink (2018) and Sorceress (2020)\, both released on Mexican Summer\, Williamson felt primed to shift in a new direction. Revisiting what she loved growing up\, simplifying her process\, and making music with a friend proved to be the best step forward for Williamson.
