SUMMARY:Going for Baroque
DESCRIPTION:Going for Baroque is a weekly series of mini-recitals at the Memorial Art Gallery. It is offered each Sunday at 1:30 pm and again at 3:00 pm. It offers the opportunity for students from the Eastman School of Music to perform alongside professional musicians on the Italian Baroque organ on the second floor of the museum. The 25-minute mini-recital is included with museum admission. \nOwned by the Eastman School of Music\, the fully restored Italian Baroque organ is the only full-size antique Italian organ in North America. The organ is the centerpiece of an installation that highlights more than 30 major Baroque-period paintings and sculptures.

SUMMARY:Harold Taddy\, Theatre Artist: An Invitation to Immersive Experience
DESCRIPTION:Harold Taddy is the Artistic Director of the avant-garde physical theater troupe The Velvet Noose and designer of the Memorial Art Gallery's Mindful MAGiC wellness series. \nHis work operates at the threshold where deep meditation dissolves into visceral\, cathartic release. At first glance\, the serene stillness of a sound bath or yoga practice and the raw\, emotionally provocative intensity of his troupe appear to exist on separate planes. Yet\, in Taddy's creative philosophy\, they share a profound core purpose. This talk will demonstrate how both serve as immersive experiences designed to bypass the analytical mind. Whether guiding an audience to ease through resonant vibrations or exploring the full scope of experience through physical storytelling\, his work inspires complete presence--inviting participants to confront\, feel\, and ultimately liberate their held emotions. \nAs a bridge between these worlds\, Taddy is behind the celebrated Mindful MAGiC wellness series at the Memorial Art Gallery.
