About this event
First Friday Art Walk - October 2026 Discover the colorful and creative world of fused glass through the work of Stacey Utech. Her exhibit features pieces that combine rich color, texture, and unexpected details, reflecting her love of experimenting with new techniques and unique ways to display glass art. Stacey's love of design began in childhood at her father's drafting table and workshop. The daughter of an architect, she spent hours creating alongside her father, whose imagination encouraged creativity throughout the whole family. Her early passion and visit to KSU school of architecture in the 5th grade with her family, eventually led Stacey to Kansas State University, where she earned a degree in Interior Design in 1987. She went on to spend nearly 30 years designing spaces for corporate, government, and education clientele. In 2008, Stacey discovered a new passion...the art of fused glass, expressing herself through hands-on art. She founded her studio, CopperSnob, in 2010. Inspired at first by the textured, iridescent look of Raku pottery, her work has grown to include brighter colors, new techniques, and inventive display styles. Stacey continues to explore what glass can become, creating pieces that bring together her lifelong love of design and her curiosity as an artist. Artist Image Gallery
