Join FreeThis support group is for individuals who have experienced or been diagnosed with disabling neurological conditions and are living with the effects it leaves behind. This includes people who have had a stroke or brain injury, as well as those living with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis (MS) or other neurological conditions. Join us to listen, to share if you feel comfortable and to give and receive support. This group is hosted weekly on Wednesdays from noon-1 p.m. at Community Fitness & Wellness, located on the ground floor of UofL Health Medical Plaza II (250 E. Liberty Street) in downtown Louisville. Topics of discussion are varied, but could include: Getting back to the things you love Moving through stages of grief Finding meaning and purpose Exploring our city's accessibility Managing the stress of a disabling condition Discovering new hobbies and interests Rebuilding relationships with self, others and a higher power For more information about this group, please contact Emily Coons, MSSW, CSW, at 502-407-3296 or Emily.Coons@UofLHealth.org.
