For Ariel Posen, songwriting and guitar playing have always gone hand in hand. He has spent more than a decade building a bridge between those two worlds, balancing his work as a hotshot instrumentalist with solo albums rooted in melody and autobiographical storytelling. With a powerful voice that matches his fretwork, Posen explores uncharted territory, blurring the lines between genres and generations. Posen has earned acclaim for his virtuosic musicianship since he joined Canadian roots-rock band the Bros. Landreth in 2013, receiving ovations not only from his audiences but also from outlets such as Rolling Stone. In 2023, he performed at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, and in 2025 he was honored by Fender with a limited-edition signature model Stratocaster. Posen's 2026 release, Bannatyne, weaves larger-than-life riffs and upbeat tempos with the syncopated grooves and the unexpected textures that have always steered his work.
