Free Book Signing with John U. Bacon

Meet acclaimed Michigan author and journalist John U. Bacon at the Michigan Maritime Museum on Thursday, November 5, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Bacon will be signing copies of his latest book, The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Michigan Maritime Museum's 2026 Book of the Year selection. The book offers a fresh look at the Edmund Fitzgerald's final voyage, the storm that claimed all 29 members of its crew on November 10, 1975, and the lasting impact of one of the most enduring tragedies in Great Lakes history. Copies of The Gales of November will be available for purchase in Maggie's Ship Store. Admission to the book signing is free.
