May the Fourth Be With You event

The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department will host a “May the Fourth Be with You” Star Wars-themed event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 4 in the San Gabriel Park Legacy Pavilion, 521 E. Morrow St. Test your abilities on a Jedi training course; battle with light sabers; and destroy the Death Star. Special guests in costume will be available for memorable photos. The Georgetown Public Library will be on site providing crafts and additional activities. The film "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (PG) will be shown. Zydeco Ice will be onsite selling shaved ice.
