Join the Prospect Park Alliance, the Old Stone House of Brooklyn and the Brigade of the American Revolution to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn, the largest battle of the American War for Independence. The public viewing area will be on the west side of the Prospect Park Long Meadow. Enter using the park entrances at Third Street, Garfield Place or Grand Army Plaza. View the map. Please be advised that this battle reenactment will feature loud sounds and smoke. RSVP 10 am: Battle Re-enactment, Prospect Park Long Meadow to Old Stone House: enjoy a re-enactment of the historic Battle of Brooklyn as our re-enactors follow the footsteps of the soldiers who fought in this historic military event, from the Long Meadow down 3rd Street in Park Slope to the Old Stone House. 12 pm: Maryland 400 Remembrance Ceremony & Battle of Brooklyn Living History, Old Stone House Following the reenactment, the Old Stone House will host a commemoration of the Maryland 400, soldiers of the 1st Maryland Regiment who sacrificed themselves during the Battle of Brooklyn.
