Centennial Kickoff Celebration Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM Lake Lure Gazebo at Morse Park Event Highlights Community Birthday Celebration Remarks from Town leaders and engineers Recognition of the Dam's 100-year legacy Birthday cake for the community Antique Boat Display (Presented by the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society) Historic wooden boats on display at Washburn Marina Meet boat owners and admire these beautifully restored classics Centennial Boat Parade (Immediately following the ceremony) Antique boats will lead a parade of local Lake Lure boats Procession from Washburn Marina to the Lake Lure Dam Christening Ceremony at the Lake Lure Dam Mayor and Town Commissioners commemorate the Dam's centennial with a special christening ceremony. The Centennial Celebration Begins This event officially launches the Town of Lake Lure's Centennial Celebration, leading up to the Town's 100th Anniversary in 2027.
