Keeping it Real I've drawn and painted for over 60 years, and art has been a constant pursuit in my life. Art is a passion that has never been disappointing except when I mess up as we all do. I started formal art education in college where I learned to paint in oils, but I later switched to watercolor painting, being inspired by Andrew Wyeth and Edward Hopper. Their superb composition and design are what painting is all about. Today I look at the wonderful watercolor portraiture of Mary Whyte and Tampa resident Dean Mitchell's landscape, as well as Thomas Schaller and Gary Tucker. I've been fortunate enough to be collected by many businesses and institutions in Tampa and by many private collectors.
