Tenth Sunday After Pentecost

This Sunday, our Hebrew Scripture lesson features a wrestling match between Jacob and the shadowy figure of the night, whom we assume to be the divine. Jacob seems to be always striving, fighting, and tricking his way to his desired outcome.
