Special Event: Art Walk/Spoken Word African Landing Commemoration Event

A night of spoken word poetry at 110 Gallery and art on display at Art Central in Phoebus. Art Central Gallery is located at 118 Mellen Street, and the 110 Gallery is located at 110 E. Mellen Street. Monday, August 24, 2026 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm in Phoebus! Art galleries in Phoebus, Virginia are collaborating with the Fort Monroe Authority for one night of poetry, spoken word, and local art!! Take part in this free evening of oral and visual arts with known local artists. An open mic opportunity and sign-up at the door is welcome. The activity is free and open to the public. Registration is requested, and space is limited. Participation in the open mic is first come, first served.
