Public Meetings for FY2027 Consolidated Budget Review

The Town of Hilton Head Island will begin its annual review process for the proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 consolidated budget with a series of public meetings held between May 12 and June 9, 2026. The first meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 3 pm, will include the first reading of the FY2027 budget ordinance and serve as the first public hearing on the proposed budget. At the May 12 meeting, Town Manager Marc Orlando will present an overview of the recommended consolidated budget to the Town Council and the community. Following the presentation, the proposed budget document and slides will be available on the Town's website. Additional Opportunities for Public Participation Residents are encouraged to learn about the Town’s proposed FY2027 investments and provide input during three additional public sessions: Thursday, May 14 at 5 pm - Budget workshop covering the General Fund, Debt Service Fund, Housing Fund, the Gullah Geechee Historic Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation Fund, and Special Revenues Fund. Tuesday, May 19 at 5 pm - Town Council workshop focusing on the Capital Improvement Program Fund, the Stormwater Utility Fund and the Consolidated Budget. Tuesday, June 9 at 3 pm - Second public hearing and second (final) reading of the FY2027 budget ordinance.
