Simchat Torah Celebration

It's a simcha! Following the first day of Jewish Learning Experiences, we'll come together for a community-wide, all-ages celebration of Simchat Torah. We'll have joyous singing, a parade with the scroll, and the opportunity to wonder at the grandeur and intricacies of our Torah as its unfurled around the TvO sanctuary -- followed by a potluck lunch with pizza provided for the kids. There are lots of ways you can participate: Bring yourself and your joy of Torah to TvO! Sing with your whole self! If you want to familiarize yourself with some of the songs ahead of time, here is a list and links to recordings. Find your Bar/Bat/B'Mitzvah portion in the Torah when we open it! If you'd like help locating it, email Jennie at jennie.lavine@tikkunvor.org in advance. Volunteer for our corps of Shomrei Torah, guardians of the Torah, who help hold the Torah while it is open. We need lots of people for this! You can sign up here. Volunteer to help others find specific places in the Torah, for those who are skilled in reading Hebrew from the Torah scroll.
