The Traveling Tables of Amistad Pop-up Exhibit

Presented by the Friends of International Friendship Park, The Traveling Tables of Amistad will be on view in a two-week pop-up exhibit at the Museum of Us from September 6-19, 2026. Commissioned by Friends of International Friendship Park and created by local sculptor Michael Leaf, the installation transforms segments of the former border wall into community tables designed to bring people together. The pop-up exhibit is included with general admission. Interactive workshops led by Friends of International Friendship Program Director, Dan Watman, will be offered on select dates for free - no registration is required. Workshops dates: September 6 at 2 p.m. September 11 at 2 p.m. September 12 at 2 p.m. September 13 at 2 p.m. September 19 at 2 p.m.
