Beginner Fly Casting Clinic

Curious about fly fishing, but not sure where to begin? Join us for a hands-on Beginner Fly Casting Clinic led by experienced instructors from the Valley Forge Chapter of Trout Unlimited (VFTU)! This event will take place on Sunday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Valley Creek Park (361 N. Morehall Rd., Malvern, PA). You’ll learn the essentials of fly casting, including: How to choose the right rod and line Proper casting motion and line control Practical techniques like roll casts, bow-and-arrow casts, and off-hand casting This clinic is designed specifically for beginners — no prior experience needed! Small-group instruction will take place near the Valley Creek Park Pavilion (no wading or fishing required), with a focus on building your confidence step by step. Whether you’re exploring a new hobby or looking to connect with a great outdoor community, this is the perfect way to get started!
