14th Annual Moreau Community Center Block Party & Basket Raffle

IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Cheryl Lawyer, Dir. of Marketing, Moreau Community Center South Glens Falls, NY: The Moreau Community Center will host the 14th Annual Block Party & Basket Raffle on Saturday, September 12, 2026, 9am to 3pm, at 144 Main Street and along New Street, South Glens Falls, NY. This free, family-friendly event will include a mum sale, food vendors, fire trucks, music, face painting, vendors, games, prizes, a bounce house, animals, and more to support the mission and community work of the Center. There will also be a large basket raffle, a favorite block party tradition, with over 100 baskets. The event is rain-or-shine, tobacco-free, and predominantly outdoors on the Center property and on New Street which will be closed to through traffic that day. Organization information and vendor tables will be present all along New Street Free parking at St. Michael's Catholic Church with bus transport to the block party is available. Basket raffle donations are appreciated. Sponsor yard signs showing support for the Center are available for $100 each. Event sponsor to-date is Hudson Headwaters Health Network and others are welcome to support this community tradition. This event is always so much fun for the community, and an important awareness and fundraising event for the Center, says Executive Director, Donna Nichols. We are so appreciative of all the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who support the event every year, and to our neighbors for their patience with no parking on the street. It's so much fun and a great community unifying activity!
