Rocking Climbing Series for Kids

The City of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department, through its Healthy St. Pete initiative, is excited to announce a brand-new addition to their Learn to Play series—Rock Climbing. The class is designed to get kids moving, learning, and having fun. The 4-week series kicks off Thursday, September 4, and is scheduled on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. through September 25 at Vertical Ventures, St. Pete’s premier indoor climbing facility. Open to children ages 6-12, this engaging series introduces participants to the fundamentals of rock climbing in a safe, supportive, and high-energy environment. From learning essential climbing techniques and safety protocols to developing teamwork and confidence, each session helps young adventurers reach neigh heights, both on and off the wall. Space is limited to just 18 participants and registration is required. This program is perfect for beginners and adventurous kids looking for a fun experience.
