About This Event

Great beer is an art, and like all great artwork, the magic is in the details. Both New African Masquerades and the art of brewing began with a transformation of raw materials through experimentation. The artists' inventive approaches to texture, surface, and form offer a natural point of connection to the tactile processes of malting, fermenting, blending, and crafting beer. Together, these practices invite us to think about how materials can be reimagined through collaboration, process, and a willingness to embrace the unexpected. Discover how the tactile concept of texture bridges the gap between fine art, craft brewing, and guest experience. Kris Johnson and Joan C.W. Hoffman from Green Bench Brewing Co. break down complex, esoteric concepts and transform them into concrete, multi-sensory experiences for their guests. Includes an exclusive, guided beer tasting. Sat, Sept 12, 1 pm - 3 pm $15 for MFA Members $35 for Not-Yet-Members REGISTER Not yet a member? Become a member today and enjoy all the benefits membership at the MFA offers! Sponsored in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and the National Endowment for the Arts.
