About this event
THELMA & LOUISE is a classic road-trip movie that laid the groundwork for the female-buddy genre. It follows best friends Thelma Dickinson and Louise Sawyer on what starts out as a weekend getaway and quickly becomes a race from the law. Written by Callie Khouri, directed by Ridley Scott, and starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, this historically significant feminist film celebrates the power of female friendship in a male-dominated world.
