Drop-In Art: Photos with Santa & Art Nouveau-Inspired Frames

Santa Claus is coming to OKCMOA! Dress your best and visit the Museum between 10 am and 3 pm to get a picture with jolly ol' Saint Nick. While you're here, make a day of it with festive activities throughout the Museum. Head to the classrooms from 10 am-2 pm to decorate an Art Nouveau-inspired picture frame to display your new photo. Inspired by The Triumph of Nature: Art Nouveau from the Chrysler Museum of Art, this Drop-In Art activity invites participants to transform a wooden frame into a decorative work of art using metallic paints, paint pens, and other embellishments. Art Nouveau artists believed beauty should be part of everyday life, and you'll bring that idea to life with your own nature-inspired design. Then, settle in for a festive storytime in the galleries from 10 am-2 pm. Bonus! Warm up with free hot chocolate and $2 cookies in the Museum Store, while supplies last. ABOUT DROP-IN ART This holiday edition of Drop-In Art provides activities every Saturday in December. Museum visitors are welcome to join us for holiday-themed activities taking place every Saturday from 10 am-2 pm. These come-and-go activities are suitable for all ages and provide a perfect opportunity for visitors to connect with the galleries and tap into their creativity. Pre-registration is not required.
