Blessing of the Backpacks

As a new school year begins, we invite children to bring their backpacks to worship on Sunday, August 30 for a special Blessing of the Backpacks during the Children's Message at all worship services. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin the year with Christ at the center. Together we'll pray that God would watch over our students, protect them throughout the school year, help them grow in wisdom and faith, and give them courage to shine His light in their classrooms, on their teams, and among their friends. Don't have a backpack or forgot to bring it? No worries! We'd still love for every child to come forward to receive God's blessing and our prayers. Join us as we send our students into a new school year with the confidence that the Lord goes with them every step of the way.
