GRIEG'S PIANO CONCERTO WITH PER TENGSTRAND

Join us on October 29 for the first concert of the new season of Music on Park Avenue, where Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg and his Piano Concerto in A minor is in focus. Pianist Per Tengstrand is joined in Victor Borge Hall by four young musicians from Princeton University to perform Grieg's famous concerto in a version for Piano and String Quartet, a transcription made by Tengstrand himself. Ian Kim and Daniel Lee on violin Jisang Kymm on viola and Elliott Kim on cello form the string quartet, who will also perform the first movement of Felix Mendelsohn's first String Quartet, and with Tengstrand at the piano, we will also hear the beloved andante cantabile movement from Robert Schumann's Piano Quartet. Thanks to a generous loan by Victor Borge's grandson Finn, concerts will be performed on Victor Borge's personal Steinway piano. Purchase Tickets
