Join FreeAmerica's Transportation Experience welcomes Eastern Museum of Motor Racing's Director of Collections, Alison Kreitzer, Ph.D., on September 5th for a Museum Live presentation focused on Board Tracks. Join us Saturday at 11 a.m. ET for an online and on-site presentation. Board track racing was a dangerous motorsport that was incredibly popular during the early 1900s (generally in the 1910s & 1920s). Competitors raced stripped-down, brakeless motorcycles and early race cars on oval tracks built from wooden planks. To maintain high speeds, the tracks were steeply banked, sometimes reaching angles of up to 60 degrees. Participation is FREE. If you are registered and attending online, you will receive the Zoom webcast link on FRIDAY before the event. If you have registered for the presentation, please click the button below to access the webcast. The program begins at 11:00 a.m.ET.
