Budget Workshop

The Avery County Board of Commissioners will hold a Budget Workshop on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Avery Community Center, 661 Vale Rd., Newland, NC.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and take any action necessary regarding the Fiscal Year Budget 2026/2027; discuss and take any action necessary regarding selection of an auditing firm; and discuss and take any action necessary regarding the Memorandum of Agreement with the NC Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management regarding the Hazard Mitigation Program Grant.   Tim Phillips, Chair
