Scarecrow & Harvest Festival - Hanley Farm

It's the Southern Oregon Historical Society's 15th Annual Scarecrow & Harvest Festival! September 19 & 20, from 10am to 4pm SOHS Hanley Farm 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point Join the Southern Oregon Historical Society between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, at SOHS Hanley Farm for our 15th Annual Scarecrow and Harvest Festival! Hanley Farm is located at 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point, just a mile outside of Jacksonville. Admission is FREE! Make a scarecrow to protect your home and gardens from any prowling witches, ghosties, and ghoulies--or to add to your fall decor! Scarecrow kits will be available for $20 ($15 for SOHS members) and include everything needed to make a full-size, old-fashioned, straw-stuffed scarecrow. Take your finished scarecrow home OR enter it in the People's Choice scarecrow contest and pick it up on Sunday at 3pm. There's also a special category of Business and Retirement Home scarecrows this year. Companies and organizations can enter a scarecrow that advertises their business or have SOHS volunteers make one for them. Plus there will be loads of free family-fun activities including pumpkin painting, apple bobbing, cider-making, paper quilt square making, children's games, and much more! Over 1,000 people attend this FREE family event to make and vote on their favorite scarecrows and you can be part of it! Advertise your business or retirement home with a scarecrow of your own making or have SOHS make one for you. All organization scarecrows will be on display for the duration of the festival, easily seen from Hanley Road, and then available for your own use. The winner of the most People's Choice votes will receive a trophy and be featured on SOHS and Hanley Farm social media. Just print and send the form below with your payment!
