This Gallery Opening event will give the public a first look at Carl's MCL exhibit, Images from Vermont to Maine, with a chance to speak with the artist. Artist's Statement: The natural world - mountains, streams, clouds, and trees - inspire my photographs. Some are representational; others might be described as abstract. Either way, my intention is to create images that convey an effect that transcends the literal. When you visit the exhibition, you'll see that I have attempted to create visual metaphors that convey the essence of my subjects. I've also tried to imbue the photographs with a sense of both wonder and humor. I hope that you enjoy my work, and please feel free to send along any questions or comments directly to me: carlcascella@gmail.com All the Best, Carl Cascella About the Photographer Carl Cascella's formal training in photography began in college, where, at Harvard's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, he studied black & white and color photography.
