UpKeep Trail Care Thursday - South Side w/ Allegheny CleanWays

Join us on the South Side section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for an Upkeep Trail Care opportunity with Allegheny CleanWays! Volunteers will: Manage graffiti Collect litter along the trail and surrounding areas Cut back overgrown vegetation Other general trail maintenance needs Weather and river conditions permitting, volunteers may have the opportunity to join Allegheny CleanWays staff aboard their boat to access and clean sections of the riverbank that cannot be reached from the trail. Space on the boat may be limited and participation will be determined on-site by Allegheny CleanWays staff. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and layered sleeves to be removed. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather, we will work through light to moderate rain. Bring a reusable water bottle, water refills will be available. All other project supplies and equipment will be provided. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email. An additional email will be sent the day prior to the workday with project details; registration after 12:00 pm will not receive the details email. Space is limited to 15 participants to ensure a safe, hands-on experience for all volunteers.
