Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor on Friday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the Clubhouse at Harbor Links in Port Washington. The Women’s Roll of Honor is a time-honored Town tradition that shines a light on the inspiring women who make North Hempstead the vibrant, caring community it is today. This year’s ceremonial breakfast will again be held at Harbor Links for a picturesque backdrop to the day’s celebrations. “May Newberger is a North Hempstead icon, and we’re proud to host the Roll of Honor each year in her memory and celebrate the women who have followed in her footsteps,” Supervisor DeSena said. “As a former honoree, I can tell you it means the world, and I can’t wait to welcome another group of extraordinary women this year.” “For 33 years, this distinguished ceremony has offered our community the opportunity to pause, reflect, and pay tribute to women of extraordinary contributions,” said Town Clerk Srivastava. “I am honored and humbled to be part of this rich tradition, and I look forward to meeting and welcoming our town jewels: this year’s honorees!” Residents are encouraged to nominate a North Hempstead neighbor whose commitment to and impact on the Town deserve community-wide recognition.
