Plant Lover's Tour: Trees That Make Great Shade

By this point in the summer, there's nothing we love more about plants than the delightfully refreshing shade they provide. Come take a walk in the garden with the JC Raulston Arboretum's director of horticulture, Greg Paige, as he waxes poetic, philosophic and botanic about his favorite trees for providing respite from the scorching summer sun. Paige will highlight sprawling behemoths with shade enough for the whole city, as well as smaller selections that fit modern gardens while still making spaces livable for people, wildlife and plants.
