Join FreeAbby Luby is a writer and journalist who lives in New York's Lower Hudson Valley. Her published short stories appear in Parhelion and Persimmon Tree and her poetry has been published in Syncopation Literary Journal, Third Street Review and Made From Midnight Anthology/PoetsInThePines. As a journalist she has reported for The New York Daily News, SolveClimateNews, The Villager, The Real Deal, The Examiner News, Valley Table Magazine, Edible Hudson Valley. She is an accomplished cellist with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Applied Cello and Journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Luby attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City and graduated with an Applied Music Certificate (Cello) and Regents Diploma Humming Under the Mist is Luby's first published book of poetry. http://abbyluby.com https://www.facebook.com/abby.luby https://x.com/abbyluby D M Gordon is a poet and novelist who served as Writer in Residence for Forbes Library, leading a weekly walk-in public forum involving contemporary poetry. Recent and upcoming publications include Loosestrife for Porcupines, a Blue Light Book Award finalist, and Leaf Sheep, a Substack of animal poems. Two novels, Gabriel, about a lost boy in British Columbia, and a prequel about his grandmother, are forthcoming from Sibylline Press. Her poetry collection, Nightly, At the Institute of the Possible, was a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award. As editor at Hedgerow Books, she midwifed eleven books of poetry into being, several of which were short-listed for national awards. Short works in multiple genres appear widely, from The Cincinnati Review to SWWIM. She's a former equestrian, studying with members of the Olympic team, and holds a Master's degree in Music.
