A evening with Richard Reeder, discussing his new book Sarasota

A Novel about Baseball and Civil Rights Jackie Robinson's entry into Major League Baseball didn't end discrimination against black professional ball players in the America South. Richard Reeder's new book, written with energy, passion, and an immersive sense of place, share the story of some of those who stepped up to the plate to put an end to those lingering Jim Crow practices. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a beverage will be available for all Members and Invited Guests. Additional beverages can be purchased at our cash bar.
