Public Hearing on Property Taxes

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rockford City Council has scheduled a Public Hearing for Monday, May 11, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 7 S. Monroe Street, Rockford, MI 49341, for the purpose of discussing the adoption of the 2026-2027 Budget and millage rate.  The proposed operating millage rate is 12.6035 mils, plus an additional .85 mils authorized for the Library Debt Millage, for a total of 13.4535 mils.  Council will also adopt the 2026-2027 water and sewer rates.  A copy of the proposed budget and fees will be available for public review and inspection at City Hall during normal business hours.
