About This Event

Lanesboro Arts is excited to present an Audacious Raw Theatre (A.R.T.) A Really Raw Retrospective at the St. Mane Theatre on Friday, August 7th at 7:00 pm! Some of A.R.T.'s core ensemble members, including Jerome Yorke, Hilary Williams, and Penelope Walker, will return to the stage. Other past ensemble members Dominque Jones, Lewis Youngren, Laura Gentry, Diane Knight, and Jack Uldrich will join us as well. And last but certainly not least, they will feature some Lanesboro community members, Cyan and Peter Ruen. The evening's performance at the St. Mane will feature both old and new works celebrating 10 Years of devised theater-making and the rawdacious lessons we've learned along the way! Tickets are on sale now-$20 for General Admission & $15 for Lanesboro Arts Members. A.R.T. (Audacious Raw Theater) is celebrating its 10th season of devised works! And they are celebrating with two very different performances. Check out their August 8th Year Ten Performance, These Sovereign Woods, Here. About A.R.T. Since being founded in 2016 by local performing artist Catherine Glynn, A.R.T. has had the mission of gathering artists from all walks of life, paying them a living wage, and teaching devised theatre-making. Encouraging balance between creating new work and recreating withing the beauty of Southeastern Minnesota, A.R.T. welcomes performing artists to create wholly original theatrical performances that are then shared with the Lanesboro community. What is devised theatre? It means the ARTists build original theatrical performances through a series of conversations, writing exercises, movement exploration, and more, teasing out the stories and performances they want to share with live audiences. This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Please note: St. Mane Theatre tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to use your tickets, you may turn them back as a tax-deductible donation to Lanesboro Arts. Please contact us at 507-467-2446 or info@lanesboroarts.org to arrange this. Each ticket purchased with a bank card will be charged an additional processing fee of $0.99. Patrons can avoid this processing fee by paying via cash or check in the Lanesboro Arts Gallery, or before the event in the St. Mane Theatre lobby. If you are unable to purchase tickets online or need additional assistance, you may try calling 507-467-2446 to purchase a ticket over the phone during business hours. Tickets are also sold in person during business hours at Lanesboro Arts Gallery. We will have a list of the ticket buyer names at the box office beginning at 6:00 p.m. If the buyer and their guests arrive together, no physical receipt or proof of purchase is needed to be admitted to the event-we will have a list! Tickets will also be sold in person beginning at that time. Lanesboro Arts is committed to accessibility for all people. Learn more about our access services.
