The Big Read

Join us for this year's Big Read at B'nai Amoona on Wednesday nights leading up to the High Holy Days! In conjunction with our theme for the year Hazak V'Amatz, Let us strengthen one another, we will be reading the book Be A Refusenik by Izabella Tabarovsky. Each week we will discuss a different chapter of the book. Here is the week by week breakdown. July 29th: Rabbi Abraham: Foreword by Natan Sharansky, Prologue, Introduction, and Chapter 1: Reclaim Your Zionism. August 5th: Cantor Nathanson: Chapter 2: Educate Yourself-And Others. August 12th: Marlee Cox: Chapter 3: Find Your Comrades in Arms. August 19th: Liessa Alperin: Chapter 4: Do the Unexpected. August 26th: Rabbi Skoff: Chapter 5: Reject Victimhood. September 2nd: Rabbi Abraham: Lead with Jewish AND Conclusion: On Antizionist Jews and Silver Linings. Please note: there is a $25 fee for the cost of the book.
