Join FreeThe Town of Perinton is updating the Subarea Plan for Bushnell's Basin, and we invite you to help shape its future. Subarea plans provide a long-term vision for specific areas of the community. This planning effort will help preserve and enhance Bushnell's Basin's historic character while reinforcing its identity as a unique Erie Canal hamlet and regional destination. The plan will explore opportunities for appropriate development and redevelopment, including infill development and revitalization, improve connectivity through streetscape enhancements and pedestrian and bicycle accommodations, and identify projects that enhance the canalfront, create welcoming public spaces, and support tourism, recreation, local businesses, and community life. We invite you to attend our community workshop on Wednesday, August 12, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Bushnell's Basin Fire Department, 661 Kreag Road. The workshop will be held in an open-house format, so you are welcome to stop by at any time during the event. Town staff and the project planning team will be available to answer questions, listen to your ideas, and gather feedback. If you are unable to attend but would like to share your thoughts, please contact Planning Director Mike Doser at mdoser@perinton.gov or (585) 223-5115, or visit perinton.gov. We appreciate your participation and look forward to hearing your ideas as we work together to create a shared vision for the future of Bushnell's Basin.
