Sock Drive Benefiting Mean Street, Recovery Works and Haven Impact Sun., Aug. 16, 8 - 11:30 a.m., Bins in the Teel Sanctuary Lobby Support our sock drive benefiting Jeffco nonprofits serving the unhoused. Socks are something most of us never have to think twice about. When you get dressed, you open your drawer and pull out your most comfy, warmest, or your favorite-colored socks. But for those who don't have a home, it often means walking on average up to 10 miles each day just to find basic necessities, while wearing shoes that are not the correct size, with worn-out, dirty, and stiff socks. There is nowhere to wash socks, so after a few days, the socks are worn through and must be thrown away. We are requesting new warm socks for men, women, and children. Please drop the socks off at the bins at either end of the Sanctuary lobby for collection.
