Read with Dogs Walter and Harry

Walter and Harry are just two dogs who love books, but, sadly, cannot read! They would like to invite young readers to read aloud to them so they can enjoy good stories and friendly pats. They will provide listening ears and a calm, comforting space. Join them in the Children's Library every fourth Saturday of the month at 1 pm, through August, 2026. Logging your summer reading minutes will be easy with these fuzzy friends! Note: Per the Library's Patron Conduct Policy, parents or guardians are responsible for the welfare and behavior of their minor children (under 18) in the Library or on Library grounds. Minors under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult unless participating in a Library program. Minors aged 12 to 17 are permitted to use the Library unaccompanied by a parent or guardian. The Manchester Community Library assumes no responsibility for unattended minors in all circumstances.
