The Sounds of Summer: A Beach Boys Tribute

The popular four-piece group will perform Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Park Theatre Civic Centre in a concert that will celebrate not only the season but also more importantly the legendary Beach Boys. Two sets of first cousins, all North Vernon natives, will bring the audience a most satisfying trifecta: striped shirts, gorgeous harmonies and surf rock at its finest. One set of cousins, Connor Ertel and David Ertel, and another set, Matt Hurley and Eric Wernke, combine beautiful vocals and superb musicianship to bring alive the timeless beach music of the Beach Boys. Opening the Park Theatre show at 6:30 p.m. will be the Cherrys, a precocious, high energy teen pop group from Seymour. Tickets are $20 apiece and can be purchased in advance at the Park Theatre box office, 25 N. Madison Ave., North Vernon. The box office is open 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Or call the box office at 812-346-0330 to make arrangements to reserve tickets.
